Newspaper Production

- As with my AS Level production, i was required to produce a mock up design of my newspaper.

- The mock up shows where each element of my newspaper will be situated, and why i have chosen to put it there.

PAGE 1
- Large mastehead, a standard convention in all printed medium to attract potential buyers attention.

- The word 'Eye' in red to distinguish the newspaper from others.

- Small font underneath listing the date, price and the newspapers website, another standard convention seen in all newspapers.

- Primary headline + image together

- Image to match the headline.

- Image has also been captioned, something every newspaper uses.

- Main text below, with the first paragraph highlighted in bold to conform with existing print medium.

- Two feature articles below (secondary articles), although the image says three i decided to change it to two in order to save room. These articles have images which i took myself and are not copyrighted.

- Highlights section lists important things which relate to my audience such as jobs, sports, events etc and listing the page numbers.

- And finally at the bottom will be an advertisement, probably something do to with fitness to promote a healthy living lifestyle.

PAGE 2

- Masthead for article top left, with the image just below. Image will also be captioned.

- Main text for article will be just below the image.

- Top right will be another large advert, will be a youth group of some sort most likely, to fit my audience.

- The credits, which every newspaper has, will be on the right symmetrical to the main text. I will look at a local newspaper to make sure my credits look realistic.

- Bottom of page will be a minor article, as used in alot of newspapers for smaller storys, featuring an image as well. Content is unspecified as of now.
